ORCHID CARE

The beautiful orchid is one of the largest plant species on earth. This subtropical plant is popular in the living room. Its care often poses problems, which is why we explain how to look after an orchid.

Caring for an orchid
Orchids are subtropical plants for which the ideal room temperature is between 20 ºC and 22 ºC. An orchid needs light but does not like the full sun as it can burn its leaves.

How often to water an orchid
The amount of water you give the orchid depends on the season. In summer once every five to seven days and in winter a little less (once every ten days). It is best to immerse your plant in lukewarm tap water, let it stand for a while and then let it drain well. The soil has to dry again before you give it the next dip.
